The Burrow

Keeping The Burrow

I tend toward nesting, wrapped in quilts and curtains. I find comfort in home--the writing, the baking, the creation of space, that familiar creek of settled wood and the hum of a rumbling kettle.

You'll find these burrowed bits throughout the blog, when I am unable to be adventuring and exploring. This part of my blog is to keep that part of my world in check. It's about balance. It's about the fox in her burrow.

Stepping Out Of The Burrow

Conflicting with my burrowed space is my insatiable yearning for travel, exploration, and education. Since college, I've seemed to slip deeper into my burrow and further away from the things which have always moved, motivated, and driven me to see and learn more. I've allowed myself to fully fall into my internal space.

In this realization, I have decided to step out. Half of this blog will be an opportunity to challenge myself to step out of that burrow--that comfort zone--and to experience, try, and create. When money is scarce, my challenges will local and project-based. When I have the opportunity and resources, my challenges will fulfill larger dreams and goals. This is my space to break out.
